First Edition, Illustrated, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of this two volume set in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, or simply Wisden, is a cricket reference book published annually in the UK. It was founded in 1864 by the English cricketer John Wisden (1826–84), and continues to be published annually to this day, making it the longest running sports annual in history. This two volume set contains the 142nd (2005) and 143rd (2006) almanacks, both edited by Matthew Engel.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart. Spine a little creased to 2005 almanack. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Bottom edge of textblock to 2005 almanack is lightly soiled, not affecting the pages. Dust wrappers remain bright and smart, with just a couple of faint marks to the front of the wrap to 2005 ed.
