'Inkheart' was the first novel of an eventual trilogy written by Funke. According to a 2007 poll, the National Education Association named this work one of its 'Teachers' top 100 books for Children'. The first edition of this work in English, with a complete number line. In 2008 the novel was adapted to a successful film starring Eliza Bennett, Brendan Fraser, Helen Mirren and Jim Broadbent. The protagonists of this story are Maggie, a booklover and her father Mo, a bookbinder. One mysterious night a stranger arrives with a warning, resulting in Mo telling Maggie they must go into hiding. Subsequently, Mo's secret is revealed. He can breathe life into stories and years ago he accidentally released a villain named 'Inkheart'. A fantastic copy of this important young adult novel.

In the publisher's original cloth binding. With original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is also in an excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
