René Jules Lalique (1860-1945)[1][2] was a major French jeweller, glassmaker and interior designer, well-known for his elegant perfume bottles, jewellery, chandeliers, vases and glass art.
In this work, Mark Waller and art historian Patricia Bayer examine his oeuvre and trace his development from apprentice goldsmith to Art Nouveau jeweller Louis Aucoc; to freelance artist creating pieces for Cartier and the Maison de l'Art Nouveau; to notable Art Deco glass artist. A fascinating and beautifully illustrated work.
