First edition. Illustrated with over six hundred and fifty images, of which more than four hundred are in colour. A study of the life and works of Charles Horner, an English jeweller and founder of the Halifax jewellery business Charles Horner of Halifax. Horner's business was founded in the 1860s and produced silver jewellery and ornaments. Among its better-known jewellery lines were enamelled Art Nouveau pendants and necklaces, twisted silver wire and glass paste 'knot' brooches, and silver hatpins. Written by Tom J. Lawson, a British antiquarian and art historian.
Condition
In the original green cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd small spot to the endpapers.
