This iconic story follows Bilbo Baggins as he goes on an adventure to help a company of dwarves retake their mountain home from the clutches of a dragon. This edition is a later impression of the 1997 60th anniversary edition, which was the first edition of the work to feature Alan Lee's incredible illustrations.
Alan Lee is an English book illustrator who is best known for his artwork depicting Tolkien's fantasy worlds, in particular the centenary edition of 'The Lord of the Rings', and for his work on the concept designs for Peter Jackson's film adaptations.
Condition
In the publisher's original hardback with the publisher's original dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is also lovely with only sunning to the spine. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
