What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Limited Edition, Signed, With Slipcase

A very scarce limited edition work.

This is no. 5 of 12 review copies produced, and is signed by both the author and illustrator to the colophon.

Below their signatures is an original pen and ink sepia sketch by the illustrator.

In a beautiful half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards and a corresponding slip case. Housed in the publisher's original box, which again has the limitation of this work noted in ink to a label to the front board.

Illustrated with thirty-five tipped in colour plates by British postwar and contemporary artist Richard Robjent, alongside further vignette illustrations. Collated, complete.

An association copy, from the estate of distinguished sporting and countryside author and journalist John Humphreys, who wrote for 'Shooting Times' for over four decades, for much of that time contributing the weekly ‘Country Gun’ column. He was a much loved character of the shooting community who dedicated his life to the promotion of shooting, fishing and the countryside.
