Leslie Hutchinson (1900-1969), known as Hutch, was one of the biggest cabaret stars in the world during the 1920s and 1930s. In her riveting biography, Breese has used material from an enormous range of sources for a cautionary tale which gives insight into the development of jazz, the decline of music hall, and the life of an extraordinarily talented man.

In publisher's original cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Light soiling to the front of the dust wrapper and minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with a little age-toning.
