What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

This work was published to accompany Sotheby's exhibition of the artwork of Winston Churchill, which showed just over one hundred of his paintings. Over twelve thousand people attended during a fortnight.

This book includes his important essay on his love for painting, 'Painting as a Pastime'. He produced well over five hundred paintings during his lifetime, despite only discovering his affinity when he was in his forties.

Lavishly illustrated with examples of Churchill's work throughout in colour.

Complete with the original dust wrapper, which is unclipped.

A lovely remembrance of the artwork of one of the most renowned politicians in British history.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covered boards. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper has a little wear to the head, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
