This work features nine short stories written by English poet, translator and author, Ted Hughes, who was poet laureate between 1984 and his death in 1998.
Of these nine pieces, six are from 'Wodwo', Hughes' 1967 collection of writings. 'The Head' had previously appeared in a magazine, while 'The Deadfall' was published in a series of ghost stories. The final story, 'O'Kelly's Angel' appears in this collection for the first time, with Hughes writing it just after he left university.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Very light edge wear to the wraps with a few spots to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
