An intriguing work containing many plates from the various work Samuel Pepys collected during his life, the plates all showing traditional street-sellers of London proclaiming their wares.

Offering an interesting look into historical London, as well as the works in Pepys' library.

Illustrated with eight-one plates, six of which are folding. 

Collated, complete.

With an introduction by Richard Luckett, who was Pepys Librarian.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter calf binding with patterned paper to the boards. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. A few light marks to the slipcase, in a near fine condition.
