A detailed study of the philosophy of gardening and landscaping that developed in late seventeenth and early eighteenth century England. With references to the gardeners and the new planting materials made available to them. Written by Douglas Chambers, a Canadian professor at the University of Toronto.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light wear and the odd small mark to the panels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
