What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

An interesting study of British road transport, particularly road haulage trade in England when it was dependent on horses and wagons. Much of this study was backed by research on the Russell letters, from an Exeter-based carrier service, offering an insight into nineteenth-century West Country trading.

The first edition of this work.

Written by Dorian Gerhold.

Illustrated with nineteen plates, many of which are in colour, five in-text figures, and six maps.

Enclosed in the original dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just a few light marks to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is excellent, with just a touch of edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
