'The Redundancy of Courage' is set in Danu, a fictitious country in Southeast Asia. The tale is narrated by Adolph Ng, a Chinese businessman educated in Canada, and the events allude to those which occured in East Timor in 1975. This work was shortlisted for the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1991.

Timothy Mo is A British-Asian novelist.

This is a limited first edition, with one hundred and fifty copies produced, of which this is number forty-seven.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with a glassine dust wrapper. Externally lovely. Glassine dust wrapper has some slight chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities but is in excellent condition. Signed by the author to the limitations page. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
