Illustrated with numerous coloured plates, including a frontispiece, several line drawings by Christabel King, as well as sketched maps. 

A both scholarly and readable guide to wild daffodils or Narcissus, comprising descriptions of over 150 species, varieties, forms and hybrids, all with interesting details concerning its natural history, habit and cultivation. 

From John Blanchard, who was an expert on almost every aspect of the genus and was awarded the Victoria medal of honour by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Condition

In the original cloth binding. With the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is also excellent, with minor edge wear. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
