A signed first edition copy of Salman Rushdie's essay titled Is Nothing Sacred? This essay was written for Herbert Read's memorial lecture in 1990, which the author was unable to give in person.

Rushdie went to live in hiding in 1989, after Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran sentenced him and his collaborators to death after the publication of the author's popular work The Satanic Verses. 

Signed by Salman Rushdie in black ink on the front board. In the original publisher's beige paper wraps.

Condition

In the original publisher's beige stapled paper wraps. Externally, in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. No dust wrapper, as issued. Salman Rushdie's signature on front board.
