'The Remains of the Day' is a novel that follows to live of Stevens, a butler who works at Darlington Hall, a stately home near Oxford. In the mid 1950s, he embarks on a road trip, and reminiscences on the events at Darlington Hall in the 1920s and 30s.

Written by Kazuo Ishiguro, who is one of the most celebrated contemporary authors, reviewing four Man Booker Prize nominations. Besides 'The Remains of the Day', his most successful novel of 'Never Let Me Go'. Ishiguro was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2017.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dustwrapper with sticker to the front wrap. Spine is a touch faded with a couple of faint marks to the wraps. Very light edgewear to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
