John Ball was an amateur golf champion, becoming the first English player to win the Open Championship in 1890.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to front board and spine. Externally lovely. SIgned by author to half title page. Dustwrapper is unclipped and excellent, with only minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Thoroughly illustrated throughout.
