The diaries of Basil N. Reckitt, written whilst we was a British Military Government Officer in Germany, up to his demobilization in 1945.

A striking eye witness account to the end of the war and the suffering caused from the devastation. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and three illustrations.

Collated, complete.

Reckitt was the great grandson of Isaac Reckitt, who founded Reckitt and Sons, a leading manufacturer of household products.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. A couple of very light marks to the boards. Author's inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dust wrapper with a few light marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
