The eighth novel in his Inspector Morse series, the work focuses on a sensational murder trial following the discovery of a young woman found dead in the Oxford Canal. It would later be adapted in the popular 'Inspector Morse' starring John Thaw and Kevin Whately. Contains illustrative plate.

Condition

In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally smart, there is some minor wear and rubbing to the extremities, as well as shelfwear to backstrip. The dustwrapper features markings to the flyleaves, as well as some rubbing to the extremities. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout.
