What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

A first edition of this work.

Neo-Romanticism is a difficult movement to define and within this volume Malcolm Yorke attempts to analyse the kindred spirit which is recognisable within Neo-Romantic artworks. This volume argues that painters such as Michael Ayrton, Paul Nash, John Minton and others should be considered within the context of the growth of English Romanticism.

Richly illustrated throughout with nine illustrations in colour and the frontispiece in colour.
Collated, complete.

In the original unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, excellent, with some light bumping to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original unclipped dust wrapper which is also excellent.
