The continuous run from vol. III to vol. XI, with four numbers per volume. This journal, now known as 'The Journal of William Morris Studies,' comprises contributions on all subjects relating to the life and work of William Morris and reviews.
Founded in 1961 with the purpose to make the life, works, and ideas of Morris better known to the world, it was published twice a year for the members of the Society.
Some of the contributors for thee volumes comprised in this collection include Ray Watkinson, Norman Talbot, Peter Faulkner, Richard Pearson, and Ruth Ellison among others.
Illustrated in text throughout. A splendid set.
Condition
In a charming portfolio binding with gilt tooling to the spine, retaining the original publisher's colourful stiff wraps. Externally, lovely with minor shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with only some minor faint spotting to the front wrap of vol. X, no. 1. Illustrated in text throughout.
