What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

A fantastic copy of this award winning novel. 'Matilda' won the Children's Book Award in the year of its publication.

'Matilda' is one of Dahl's best-known works. The titular character is a fantastic, extremely literate child who lives in a home where her parents do not appreciate her. She is a child prodigy, who discovers that she has an extraordinary psychic power which she uses to save her school and teacher, Miss Honey.

Dahl published this book following his success with other titles such as 'The BFG' and 'The Witches'. It was later adapted into the 1996 film starring Danny DeVito, and the RSC's successful stage musical.

A fine example of this important work.
