A scarce set of Henry Williamson's writings issued by the Henry Williamson's Society. Five volumes. 

All first editions published between 1988 and 1993. 

Comprising: From a Country Hilltop, with 'Out of Doors' and 'Last Summer'. A selection of articles by Wiliamson written for the Home Magazine from 1958 until 1962, in which he discusses nature, the country side and other personal interests; 

A Breath of Country Air, in two volumes that bring together Henry Williamson's weekly pieces in the Evening Standard written during 1945 and 1946. Part Two includes a fifteen part serial, Quest, being a postscript to the Norfolk farm. Concerning life at the farm, country life, his children. 

Spring Days in Devon and other Broadcasts containing twenty two talks on the wireless for the BBC between 1935 and 1954. Reminiscing on the West Country and the significance of his life, and the decision to become a farmer. 

Pen and Plough: Further Broadcasts, being the transcript of a further twenty one talks given on the BBC between 1937 and 1967. More talks on farm and country life, being a writer, and more. 

A lovely set illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume except Pen and Plough.

Condition

In the original publisher's colourful wraps. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear and a slight sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with a frontispiece to each volume with the exception of Pen and Plough.
