This work was written by American author Toni Morrison and was inspired by the life of Margaret Garner, a slave who escaped and fled to the free state of Ohio. The story follows Sethe, a formerly enslaved women who lives in a home that is haunted by what she believes to be the ghost of her eldest daughter.

In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely. The wrap is also lovely with only the odd, very slight mark. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages.
