    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    This book is set in 1878, six years after 'The Ruby in the Smoke'. First Edition. 'The Shadow in the Plate' is the original name for this publication. It was then later changed to 'The Shadow in the North'. Philip Pullman is an English writer known for his notable trilogy 'His Dark Materials'.

    Condition

    In original full cloth binding with gilt stamping to spine, in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent. Minor bumping to the head and tail of spine. Small amount of fading to the head and tail of spine also. Dustwrapper is very smart. Some yellow and green marks to the spine. Remnants of adhesive to the bottom of front wrap, which is still sticky. Small amount of light rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned to edges, and clean.
