Lucas Tupper was an early Pre-Raphaelite, and maintained friendships with several original members of the Brotherhood; his work has been all but forgotten to a modern audience. Holman Hunt was a founding member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, along with John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Michael Rossetti, James Collinson, Frederic George Stephens and Thomas Woolner.
