This work concentrates on the different kinds of architecture used in different combinations in particular counties, including the stonework of the Cotswolds, the plasterwork, flintwork, brickwork and masonry of the south of England, the masonry and brickwork used in the north and the pargetting, timberwork, brickwork and thatching used in the eastern counties.
Written and illustrated by Sydney R. Jones (1881-1966), an illustrated and author known for writing a number of works in particular on village homes and old houses.
In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.
With a number of colour illustrations by Sydney Jones, Wilfrid Ball and John Fullerwood.
Condition
In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine only. Dust wrapper has some bumping to the extremities and the head of the spine, otherwise in excellent condition. Ownership inscription to the front endpaper. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean.
