'The Riddle of the Third Mile' is Colin Dexter's sixth novel in his popular Inspector Morse series.

Dexter is best known for his Inspector Morse crime series, which has been adapted into a TV series by ITV. He started his writing career by writing general studies textbooks, before starting his crime series in 1972 during a family holiday.
