This set includes; Thirteen volumes of 'Nutwood: The Journal of the 'Followers of Rupert'. Volumes 1 and then 6-13 in the original paper covers. Volumes 2-5 being photocopies of the original works. 

- Two 'Nutwood' special issues, Including: 'The Bestall Reprints 1' and 'The Followers of Rupert in Conversation with John Harrold'. With a library loan copy of the 'In Conversation with Alfred Bestall' special issue, and the fiftieth birthday celebration edition. 

- A selection of paper ephemera from the club, including notes from their 'Follower's Exchange Scheme' and meeting notes. 

- Two 'Rupert and Canterbury' trail maps. 

This set features a large collection of ephemera from the 'Followers of Rupert' organisation, which promoted the appreciation of the iconic comic strip character, Rupert Bear. The club was founded in 1983 and produced journals and newsletters for the enthusiasts of the bear and his stories. This collection includes thirteen journals published by organisation, including special issues with interviews from the illustrator and writer of the Rupert Bear stories, Alfred Bestall, and visual artist John Harrold.

Condition

In the publisher's original paper covers. Externally excellent with rusted staples to the majority of the volumes and the slightest shelf wear. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Paper ephemera all bright and clean.
