1982 The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4
What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of this work, first in the Adrian Mole series of comedic fiction by Sue Townsend.
Written in diary style, this book narrates the worries and struggles of a teenage boy who believes himself to be an intellectual. Set in 1981 and 1982, it comprises some of the most important events of the time. Adrian is an avid critic of Margaret Thatcher, who he listed as one of his worst enemies. Together with the humorous events narrated in the diaries, the comedy comes from the character or Adrian and his unreliable narration, a naïve yet confident boy.
In 2019, BBC News listed The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4 as one of the 100 most influential novels.
With price-clipped dustwrapper. Illustrated.
