Illustrated with ninety colour plates, twenty black-and-white reproductions of his paintings, and eighteen black-and-white reproductions of his drawings, as well as many reproductions of his book illustrations and engravings. Collated, complete.
Rockwell Kent (1882-1971) was an American artist, writer, and adventurer whose work anticipated Art Deco. This lavishly illustrated anthology collects a definitive selection of his wood engravings, lithographs, paintings, book illustrations, designs, and autobiographical writings.
Fridolf Johnson, a leading authority on the work of Rockwell Kent, edited this anthology and provided the extensive biographical introduction.
Condition
In a quarter cloth binding with pictorial boards, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in excellent condition, with very light marginal fading to the lower extremities of the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Dust wrapper is very smart with just a scattering of small marks to the front of the wrap.
