First editions of two fascicules from Volume I of Corpus Signorum Imperii Romani in the original publisher's cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers.
The second and fourth fascicule of the first volume of Romano-British sculpture for the International Corpus of Sculpture of the Roman World, a project launched in Paris in 1963. This catalogue focusses on Great Britain.
The second fascicule covers the collection from Bath and other Southern English counties including Avon, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Somerset, Sussex and Wiltshire. By B. W. Cunliffe and M. G. Fulford. Illustrated with forty eight monochrome plates.
The fourth fascicule covers material from Roman military sites in modern-day Scotland. By L. J. F. Keppie and Beverly J. Arnold. Illustrated with forty two monochrome plates.
In the original publisher's cloth bindings and unclipped dust wrappers. Externally, excellent. There is some slight wear to the extremities of the dust wrappers, slightly more so to Fascicule 4. There is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
