'Midnight's Children' is a novel dealing with India's transition to independence from British colonisation. The story is told from the point of view of Saleem Sinai, and is in the context of real historical events. The novel combines magical realism with historical fiction.

Written by Salman Rushdie, who is arguably best known for this novel. His other best known work is the controversial 'The Satanic Verses'.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, with light marks and a little discolouration to the boards and spine. Marks a little heavier to the rear board. A little bumping to the extremities. A little rubbing to the gilt to the spine. Dustwrapper's spine is sunned, with light marks to the wraps and just a touch of edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
