Beryl Cook was a British artist known for her original paintings, often comical and illustrative of people who she met during her everyday life (i.e. at the pub, while shopping, on a hen night, abroad, &c). 

The present group is comprised of the following, containing a series of humorous sketches in colour and captions:

'The Works', the first book by Cook. Second Penguin edition 1981. Originally published in 1978 by John Murray. 

'Private View,' the first Penguin edition 1981. Originally published in 1980 by John Murray.

'Cruising,' the first edition, first impression published by Victor Gollancz in 2000. Complete in the unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the original publisher's printed wraps and cloth binding. Externally lovely. Dust wrapper unclipped and excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
