In this work Patricia Burns looks at Te Rauparaha in a new way compared to how he had previously been perceived, looking at his achievements and reputation, and at the history of New Zealand and Maori. 

Te Rauparaha was a Maori rangatira and war leader of the Ngati Toa tribe. He was an influential and sometimes controversial figure who took a leading role in the Musket Wards.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper is very smart with very light edge wear and a few faint marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
