Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition, second impression of this work. Complete with its unclipped dust wrapper designed and photographed by Stephen Cornwell.

The story is set in a European cold-war background, and it follows spy George Smiley to the last duel with his Russian opposite number, codename Karla. A brilliant read with much suspense and tension, good humour and humanity.

John le Carré was a British author, who worked for Security Service and the Secret Intelligence Service before becoming a full-time writer.
