An excellent copy of this work, bound in a half morocco binding and held in the original case. With a pamphlet inserted into the volume, which included the previous owner's proof of purchase. This facsimile reprint was produced by The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, a charitable organisation founded in 1968. This particular volume is a limited edition copy of this 19th century work, being number 1 of 1000 printed. With numerous illustrations of scenery in England and Wales, with descriptions written in both English and French. Illustrated with P. J. Loutherbourg, engraved by William Pickett and coloured by John Clarke.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards, and held in the original close covered case. Externally excellent. Very minor spots towards the front joint, barely visible. Limited edition label to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Page are bright and clean. The cloth covered case is very smart, with minor bumping to the extremities.
