This facsimile edition was created on antique laid paper by the Nottingham Court Press in Association with the Dickens Fellowship in 1979.
Collated, complete with the forty-three illustrations by R Seymour and Phiz.
'The Pickwick Papers' was Dickens' first novel and followed his success with 'Sketches by Boz'. It is a sequence of loosely related adventures set in the late 1820s. The Protagonist is Samuel Pickwick, a kind and wealthy gentleman.
A beautiful edition of this well known Victorian novel.
Condition
In the publisher's original quarter morocco binding. With cloth covered boards. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
