'Moortown' is a poetical diary detailing everyday life living and working on a farm, based on Hughes' own experiences after marrying the farmer's daughter Carol Orchard in 1970.

Ted Hughes was one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century, known for being Poet Laureate for fourteen years, and for his ultimately unhappy marriage to Sylvia Plath.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine. Dustwrapper with only a touch of discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
