This scarce work is bound in the publisher's original cloth binding, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. A limited edition copy of this work, published 42 years after the first edition. This particular volume is number 293 of 600 copies, and is signed by the author's son to the reverse of the half-title page. Written by Sir John Buchanan-Jardine, with a foreword by The Duke of Beaufort. This work is concerned with the various breed of dogs in used in England, France and America for hunting. Illustrated with eight coloured plates by Baron Karl Reille, twelve coloured plates by T. Invester Lloyd alongside twenty-four collotype plates. Collated complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with very minor shelfwear to the extremities. The odd spot to the top edge. The dustwrapper is generally smart. Chipped to the head and tail of the spine. Light sunning and rubbing to the spine, with rubbing also to the front and rear flyleaf joints. Small water spills to the front of the wrap, in three places. Small tears to the head of each fly leaf joint, and also to the tail of the rear flyleaf joint. The odd light mark internal to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Author's signature to the reverse of the half-title page.
