This collection of eight never before collected essays describe Berlin's 'view of the nature of philosophy, and of its main task: to uncover the various models and presuppositions - concepts and categories - that men bring to their experience'.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with paper covered boards, and price unclipped dust wrapper. Minor shelf wear to back strip tail, with a light mark to the tail of the rear board. Discolouration to dust wrapper back strip, with loss to back strip head. The odd light mark to front and rear wrap. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
