Written by Gunter Wilhelm Grass, a German novelist, poet, playwright, illustrator, graphic artist, and sculptor, who was awarded the 1999 Nobel Prize in Literature. With illustrations from the author. This set includes: Dan Treffen in Telgte, 1979. Describing a fictional meeting of German poets and writers in Telgte in 1647. This work is an encoded representation of the meetings of Group 47 after the Second World War. Unkenrufe: Eine Erzahlung, 1992. Following the love story between the German widower Alexander Reschke and Alexandra Polin widowed Piatkowska. This novel was adapted into a 2005 film directed by Robert Glinski. Die Box, 2008. A fictionalised autobiography, with the 80-year-old Grass' eight children, at their father's request, recording conversations where they say what they think of him. Unterwegs von Deutschland nach Deutschland, 2009. Based on the diary kept by the author for the year 1990, set against the backdrop of the tumultuous year of German reunification.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent, Original unclipped dust wrappers are very smart with minor wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
