First edition. This work sheds light on our understanding of medieval witchcraft and magic. Includes: 'Rhetoric of Magic', 'Condemnation of Magic' and 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'. Written by Edward Peters, an American professor at the University of Pennsylvania who specialises in the religious and political history of early Europe, including heresy, repression and intellectual inquiry.

Condition

In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear to the extremities. Unclipped dust wrapper also excellent with minor shelf wear and a very small closed tear to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
