What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon
A visually pleasing work about punk style and fashion in the 1970s, beautifully designed in a scrapbook style. This work features numerous illustrations from photographs of punk fashion icons like Iggy Pop, Vivienne Westwood, Joan Jett, Sioux, Rotten, The Buzzcocks, the Sex Pistols, and more.
Featuring a thorough history of punk style. Punk began in the early 1970s in London as an aggressive and anti-establishment movement. It was closely aligned with punk music, which emerged at this time as well. Punk fashion is defined by its cut-off construction, frayed edges, chunky shoes, and torn tights and trousers. It is also closely aligned tattoos and body piercings.
