An immersive collection of stories of India from Anglo-Indian hunter, tracker and naturalist, Jim Corbett. 

Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece of Corbett and his family. 

Corbett was frequently called upon by the Government of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh to hunt the man-eating tigers and leopards that were attacking people in the nearby villages. 

These stories, originating from various other publications, were selected by Jim Corbett's editor, R. E. Hawkins. He also served on the Executive Committee of the Bombay Natural History Society.

In the original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent with shelf wear. Dust wrapper is very smart, with light edge wear. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
