Description

Signed

Signed by the author to the title page. This is the fourth impression of this work, and was published by John Casson himself. The first edition was published in 1968 and published by G Duckworth and Co. This work was written by John Casson, OBE. According to the rear wrap to produce this work Casson used his 'combined theatrical and management training' in order to handle the 'tricky problem of putting over new ideas and instructions in words to groups and individuals in industry and other contexts'. 'Part I is a vivid declaration of the underlying principles of verbal communication; Part II shows how to apply these principles in the sphere of industry - how to inform, instruct and correct other people, how to conduct a meeting and how to sell.' Casson also discusses his 'philosophy of management' which instructs and aids the reader in responsibility as well as managing work and welfare.
