The work has five parts following the creation of the universe Eä, a description of the Valar and Maiar or the supernatural powers of Eä, chronicles of the history before and during the First Age, the wars over the Silmarils, the Downfall of Númenor and its people, and finally, a brief summary of the events of The Lord of the Rings and those that led to them. Written by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, an English writer and philologist best known for his works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with a small closed tear to the edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
