Two foreign language editions of this charming work, with both copies flat signed by Richard Adams to the title page.
These two volumes are each exceptionally scarce.
The first work is the 1977 first Dutch edition of Adams's work, in the publisher's pictorial paper covered boards.
The second work is the first Japanese edition, in the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper, and wraparound band. Translated by Miyoshi Yuraki.
A charming children's work set in Victorian England, following a gentleman tiger and his son as they voyage into the unknown.
Illustrated colourfully throughout by Nicola Bayley.

In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards, with Japanese volume also present with the unclipped dust wrapper and wraparound band. Externally, fine. Small closed tears to dust wrapper back strip head and tail, with edgewear to head of fold over front flyleaf. Sunning to back strip of wraparound band. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
