The first illustrated edition. In the publisher's original cloth binding with clipped dust wrapper and slipcase. Beautifully illustrated throughout by John Lawrence in both monochrome and colour. With fold out map. The debut novel of Richard Adams, 'Watership Down' won the Carnegie Medal and Guardian Prize. It was adapted into an animated film by Martin Rosen in 1978.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with slight bumping to the spine and minor shelf wear to the extremities. The clipped dust wrapper is in good condition with closed tears to the spine and front flyleaf and some shelf wear to the edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with the odd spot to the fore edge. Slipcase is in very good condition, bright and clean with some light shelf wear.
