This work includes a selection of short stories that Clifford D. Simak wrote between 1931 to 1971. Greatly inspired by the works of H.G. Wells, many of these stories include classic science fiction tropes such as isolated rural settings, 'a sense of whimsy', and strange happenings.
Short stories include 'Madness from Mars', 'Sunspot Purge', 'The Sitters', 'A Death in the House', and more.
Clifford D. Simak (1904-1988) was an American science fiction writer. He was well regarded within the genre and won three Hugo Awards and one Nebula Award.

Condition
In the original cloth binding, in the unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with no noticeable faults other than a bit of bumping to head and tail of spine. Dust wrapper is excellent with a bit of edge wear to spin region along with very light age-toning to the top edge and bottom edge of wraps, including the reverse. Publishers sticker to fly leaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
